GV II

House with 2 shops. C18, remodelled early/mid C19. Render on
studwork and rubble; steep asbestos roof with rendered stack
on the right and lateral stack to rear left; cast-iron ogee
gutter. Shallow-depth plan. 2 storeys plus attic; 3-window
range. Late C19 4-pane horned sashes to 1st floor and to
1st-floor centre and gable of left-hand return. Ground floor
has rare complete mid C19 transomed double-fronted corner shop
to left-hand corner with 3-lights plus sidelights to shallow
projecting windows flanking a splayed doorway with glazed
door, all under a moulded entablature with fascia. Similar
moulded entablature over pair of central pilastered doorways
and over 2-light shop window on the right; left-hand doorway
now partly blocked and fitted with 2-light window and other
doorway with glazed door. INTERIOR plain where inspected.
