House, mid C19 with C17 core. 2 storeys and 2 storeys with attics. 4 windows.
Timber-framed, rough-cast rendered. Plaintiled roofs with axial and gable
chimneys of red brick. C19 sash windows and casements. Mid C19 entrance door
with pilasters and entablature. Gable chimney to left C17; central range
rebuilt c.1850; wing to right early C17. Present house stands on the site of a
mediaeval house built by the Abbey of St. Edmundsbury.
