House, now local authority hostel. Built 1881-82, extended 1891. Red brick with red tiled roof. Two storeys with attic, four bays, third bay breaks forward under timbered gable. Drip mould over ground floor and top billeted frieze and eaves. Windows have lintels and are sashed with glazing bars to upper sashes. First bay has hipped dormer; second bay has gable roof dormer. Third bay has entrance porch with glazed lean-to structure. Tall brick stacks. Entrance hall has fireplace with Jacobean style overmantel.
