House. Early C19. Timber-framed, weatherboarded, with facade
of gault bricks in Flemish bond, roofed with slate or
substitute. Main range facing SW with axial stack to right of
centre, and wing to rear left with internal stack at the
junction. 2 storeys. Attached range of single-storey ancillary
buildings extending obliquely from rear right. The SW
elevation has on the ground floor 2 sashes of 6+6 lights and
one tripartite sash of 4:12:4 lights, and on the first floor 3
similar sashes of 6+6 lights; asymmetrical arrangement. At
first-floor level is a band of C20 white bricks arranged
vertically. Hipped roof. Both stacks have been rebuilt above
roof level with C20 white bricks. The NW (garden) elevation
has on the ground floor 2 similar sashes of 6+6 lights, and 3
on the first floor; one C20 door, and one early C19 pair of
3-panel doors with full-height flank windows of 3 lights;
full-length lean-to canopy roofed with slate or substitute.
Major renovation recently completed at time of inspection,
February 1989.
