GV II

Two houses, now restaurant and office. c1600, front rebuilt
mid to late C18. Timber-frame with brick front; tile roof,
half-hipped to one end, with rear brick stacks. 2 storeys;
5-window range. Brick platt band and moulded cornice. Central
entrance with architrave, frieze and cornice, 6-panel door;
segmental-headed entry to left has 6-flush-panel door, 2
glazed; entrance to left of entry has reeded pilaster strips,
frieze and cornice, half-glazed door. 2 canted bays with
cornices and plate glass, that to left is 2-storey, with
2:4:2-pane horned sashes and cornice; windows to right have
rubbed brick flat arches over 4-pane sashes in wide frames;
two C20 dormers to right end. Originally part of a longer row
extending to right. Inner segmental-headed door to No.9 has 4
fielded panels and one top segmental panel.
