Hotel. Dated 1669, possibly earlier in origin but much restored and
modernised. Timber framed with brick and painted plaster infill, RH
part brick, painted to 1st floor. Tiled roofs, 2 large chimneys with
heavily corbelled heads. LH part 2 storeys and attic, 3 oversailing
gables each with 2-light window, and 2 storey canted bay windows below,
the central one an oriel over the entrance door. Modern leaded glazing
throughout. Central yard entry has 4-light casement above. RH 3 bays
are C20, 2 storeys, shop front and door to ground floor, three 3-light
transomed upper casements. Interior has some old timbering. Long rear
wings in yard.
