Farmhouse. C16 - C17 with possible earlier origins and later alterations. Timber-
framed, rendered, cased in part in painted brick. Plain tile roofs. Two parallel
ranges, the front range aligned further to the right, probably of 3 bays, with a
lower range added at the right apparently replacing an earlier range. 2 storeys.
Front range: end hearth-passage entrance to right. C19 door with divided overlight.
Unequal sash with glazing bars in architrave to centre, canted bay with French window
to left. Three 6-pane sashes to 1st floor. End and ridge stacks. Lower 2-storey
range to right has C20 casement to ground floor and two 6-pane sashes above. Rear
range has further sashes. C19 entrance to angle between front and rear ranges.
Interior: not fully inspected. Rear range shows chamfered spine beam with ogee stop
and chamfered transverse beam with run-out stop. To 1st floor jowled posts, wall
plate and studding covered by wallpaper. Front range: chamfered beam with tenoned-in
joists to kitchen. 1st floor jowled posts, cambered tie beams, one with arch brace.
