GV II

House. c1720, extended early C19. Dolomitic conglomerate
rubble and dressings, brick end stacks and slate valley roof.
Double-depth plan. 2 storeys, basement and attic; 6-window
range. Early Georgian style. Symmetrical early C18 right side
with a central doorway, extended to the left in the same
style, with a moulded cornice and parapet; half-glazed door in
C20 porch and small 4/4-pane sash windows with thick glazing
bars; extended 1-window range to left has larger 8/8-pane sash
windows. Outshut to the right. INTERIOR: a large part-flagged
hall, dogleg stair with stick balusters and turned newels,
elliptical arch to first-floor front room, shutters and
panelled doors.
