House in row, one of a pair, but built separately from adjoining No.5 (qv). C16. Light panel timber-framing with painted brickwork, tile roof, brick stack. 2 storeys, at first floor an early 2-light and a C19 2-light casement, paired with stud frame member division. Ground floor has a 2-light casement, and a stable-type door. Very steep roof, large stack to left, adjoining but separate from that to No.5 (qv). INTERIOR has substantial frame members, including diagonal brace in party wall, ceiling joists, and at first floor a large beam also in party wall. Rafters pegged to purlins.
