GV II

House. Late C18 or early C19. Solid roughcast front. Slated
roof. Rendered chimney on each gable end, that to left with an
early cap formed by a projecting slate course. 3 storeys. 2
widely spaced windows wide. Doorway, set between the ground
storey windows, has late C19 or early C20 half-glazed and
panelled door. 8-paned sash-windows, except that upper third
storey sashes have only 4 panes. Boxed eaves-cornice. To right
of ground storey is a low, pointed-arched recess containing an
old tap; it is typical of several surviving conduit heads
belonging to the town's public water supply in C19.
