House and attached cottage. Probably late C18 or early C19;
altered. Brick in Flemish bond, with red stretchers and yellow
headers, rear portions rendered; slate roofs. Irregular plan,
Moor Cottage forming the principal element, and Beech cottage
attached at the north end, set back and canted back slightly.
Two storeys, 2+3 windows. Moor Cottage, formerly symmetrical,
has a central doorway with panelled door and 3-pane overlight
under a flat canopy on brackets, a C19 semi-hexagonal
full-height bay to the right, a C20 bay to the left, sashed
windows with glazing bars and exposed boxes, and gable
chimneys. The facade of Beech Cottage breaks back very
slightly left of centre, has a 6-panelled door with 3-pane
overlight left of this joint, and 2 sashed windows on each
floor, 12-paned to the left and 16-paned to the right, all
