Grotto. c.1840's. Rubble walling of industrial waste and
glass with stone dressings. Central grotto has blocked
entrance and gable, and flanking blocked windows. To left, an
arch spans the path, with round turret to left which has
battlements on corbel table with grotesque heads. Keystone
has carvings of birds, remains of battlements with pinnacle
to right. To left of grotto is round tower with blocked slit
windows with label moulds, drip course and battlements;
corbel table with grotesque heads. Screen wall to right ends
in round turret. Many carved stones; coats of arms, heraldic
symbols etc. inserted into walls.
