GREAT BEALINGS (Off) ROSERY LANE TM 24 NW (North Side) 4/72 Bealings House 16/3/66 G.V. II House. Late C18. Red English and Flemish bond brick with a plain tile roof. Two storeys with an attic. Entrance front: projecting plinth of English bond brick below walling of Flemish bond. Seven bays symmetrically disposed having a central door surround which has Ionic demi-columns to either side of a door of 8 raised and fielded panels with a convex frieze, dentilled cornice and pediment above which has small consoles. To either side of this are sash windows with exposed weight boxes of 3x4 panes. Between the ground and first floors is a band of 3 bricks depth and to the first floor are seven sash windows, also of 3x4 panes. Richly moulded cornice above this with hollow dentils and moulded consoles below the cornice. Panelled parapet above of brick behind which is a gabled roof with 4 pedimental gabled dormers, that at left having 2 casement lights, those to right being sashed. The right hand side of the house has blocked basement windows with cambered heads and has a first floor sash window of 3x4 panes. To right of this is an extending wing which has a slightly projecting plinth with one blocked basement window and a 3-light casement window at left with cambered head and a 2-light casement at right. To the first floor are 2 sash windows of 3x4 panes at far left and right, and to right of centre a round window. To the attic are two pedimental dormer windows, each of 2 lights. The left hand side has a blank gable end at right, to left of which is an extending wing with hipped end. This has a 2-light casement window at right to left of which is a 1/2-glazed door with flat-arched head and to left again one sash window of 2x2 panes and to far left a sash window of 4x4 panes. To the first floor are, at right and left, sash windows of 3x4 panes and to left of centre a further service window of 2x2 sash panes. The rear courtyard set between the projecting wings, has, at right and left lean-to additions to the re-entrant angles.

Interior: the drawing room has a C20 classical fire surround at either side of which are arched niches, also of C20 date replacing earlier shelves. Rich dentilled cornice. The dining room has a fire surround of white, variegated marble. Staircase of 2 flights with a quarter-landing and having moulded tread ends of foliate decoration, stick balusters and a moulded, ramped handrail with wreathed curtail. Moulded cornice with rinceau decoration to the landing and round-arched niches with shelves and moulded springers and keystones. Fluted door surrounds with paterae to the upper corners. Hob grates with neo-classical decoration to several first floor rooms and one Cl9 French chimney piece of marble and gilded bronze to a first floor room. Spiral staircase to attic floor with stick balusters and moulded handrail.
