House, C16 with C18 alterations. 1 storey and attics. A 2-cell open hall
house. Timber-framed and plastered. Thatched roof with two C19 eyebrow
casement dormers. Two C19 eyebrow casement doremers. Two external end
chimneys of C18/C19 red brick. C19 small-pane casements. Glazed C20 entrance
door with open lean-to pantiled porch on posts. A modest and probably late
type of open hall house. Smoke-blackened roof with later side-purlins, but
originally with coupled-rafters, and once hipped at ends. Plain exposed
framing; the open truss was removed in C17/C18 and its tie beam reused to
support the inserted upper floor.
