II
Detached cottage. Late C17. Painted English bond brick, thatched
roof, half-hipped to right, brick stack to left. Single-storey and
attic, 2 windows. Planked central door in C20 porch with thatched
roof, either side is one cast-iron casement. Two eyebrow dormers
with 2-light cast-iron casements. Right return is painted chalk
and flint, no windows. Some light timber-framing to rear, 2-light
casements.
Interior said to have chamfered beams with ogee stops, open
fireplace with chamfered lintel and runout stops. Winding stairs on
north side of fireplace and bread oven on south side.
