Cottages, now one house. Late C17/early C18. Coursed limestone rubble and timber
framing; thatched roof and brick gable stack. One- and 2-unit plans. One storey
plus attics. Plank door and 2-light casement to each cottage; the second unit of
No.6 to right has extra casement. All inserted when Nos.3 to 6 were given
uniform openings with brick quoins and segmental arches, probably in the early
C19. All casements have plank shutters. 2 small dormers. Shared stack. Right
gable wall to No.6 has jettied first floor of plastered timber framing. Long
thatched outbuilding range attached to rear of No.5. Interior: No.5 has
chamfered and stopped beams; semi-cellar in rear range. No.6 has winder stair
beside stack. Clasped-purlin roof. Part of a picturesque cottage row.
