GV II

House now two dwellings. C16, remodelled and extended to right to make 6
cottages in early C19. Two ranges: left range, originally timber-framed, of
coursed flint rubble with brick dressings, tile-hung right gable wall; right
range cruck framed, of original square timber framing to rear, refronted in C18
Flemish bond brick with flared headers. Gabled old tile roof; left ridge stack.
Original plan form unclear. 2-storey left wing has C20 lean-to porch. One storey
and attic, 4-window range to right has segmental arches over blocked door and
C19 and C20 casements. 2 gabled dormers. Early/mid C19 two-bay extension in
similar style and materials to right. Mid/late C19 casements to rear left; C20
extensions to rear right. Late C18/early C19 one-storey wing at right angles to
front left: of flint rubble with brick dressings and old tile roof. Interior:
chamfered beams. Left range has timber-framed partition wall and right side
wall. Right range has 2 raised crucks with collars and through-purlins:
shortened stack flanks passage to left.
