Barn approximately 10 metres to rear of Elmtree House

Barn. Of C17 origin rebuilt C18. Internal timber framing, red brick in
English garden wall bond, pantile roof. Single storey, 3 bays. Central bay
has large boarded doors rising to the wallplate and plain walling to bay on
left with 2 rows of vents, bay on right obscured by attached outbuildings
(not of special interest). Ashlar gable copings. Rear: opposed waggon
entrance flanked by exposed wall posts; flanking walls have dentilled
brickwork below the eaves.
Interior: 4 wallposts flanking the central stone-paved threshing floor remain
with later braces inserted; a section of midrail exists between the posts on
right. Brick walling reinforced by piers. Roof of principal-rafter
construction with much re-used timber.
