5/96 Chancel Cottage
GV II

2 houses, now one dwelling. Late C17 and mid C19. Regular coursed limestone with
thatch and slate roofs. Originally 2-unit plan. Single storey with attic. Main
front of 2 bays; one-window range with casement with glazing bars and wood
lintel to right and similar casement under eyebrow dormer to attic above.
Central C20 door under wood lintel. Central brick stack. Left gable has 2
casements also under wood lintels. Mid C19 2-storey, 2-window range of casements
attached to right was separate house, now forms part of same dwelling. Interior
not inspected but noted as having spine beams. Included for group value.
