WARDINGTON THORPE ROAD SP4846 (East side) 15/178 House abutting and to left of Wisteria Cottage

GV II

House. Mid C18. Squared coursed ironstone. Steeply pitched red-tile roof. Large brick ridge stack and an end stack. Stone end stack with renewed brick shaft on left. Stone-coped gable with moulded kneelers on left. 4-unit plan. 2 storeys. 5-window range. Entrance off-centre to right has panelled/glazed door and chamfered wood lintel. 2- and 3-light metal casements in wood frames to left of entrance and a 3-light similar window to right. Wood lintels. First floor has five 2- or 3-light similar windows. Chamfered wood lintels. Crown glass, wrought-iron casement fasteners and springs. Ironstone quoins on left. Fire plaque and wood lintel to left on first floor. Tie-bar on right. Interior not inspected.
