Gable End Farmhouse and
3/81 attached barn

House and attached barn. Late C17 or early C18. Hammer-dressed stone. 2
storeys. Quoins, coped gables with moulded kneeler to rear and stone gutter to
front which faces west. 2 doorways with composite jambs (one solid). 2-room
plan. All are double chamfered mullioned windows. From left a 4-light with
same over (both lacking 2 mullions), a 6-light with same over (both lacking 3
mullions) modern glazing. A single storey outshut under cat slide roof with
copings breaks forward to front at junction of house with barn bears inscribed
stone 'W.C. 1822' and has a 3-light chamfered mullioned window. Left hand
return wall is blind with dressed stack to gable. One other stack to ridge.
Rear has single storey outshut forming kitchen next to barn entry which is small
with square head. South facing gable has simple rectangular ventilators.
