- adjoining Burch Farmhouse to south
GV II
Garden wall and retaining wall. Probably late C18 or early C19. Coursed stone
rubble garden wall and uncoursed sandstone retaining wall.
Curved garden wall adjoining 3-bay front of Burch Farmhouse (q.v.) at left-hand end,
screening former service end to left and bounding left-hand side of front lawn. Wall
returns as curved retaining wall to front of lawn.
Boarded door in garden wall with concrete lintel (probably C20 insertion). Blocked
former doorway to its right (see straight joints). Wall ramps down to left.
Buttress at rear.
