ST 76 NW CHARLCOMBE

4/30 Charlcombe Grove Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C17. Rendered with freestone quoins and dressings; double
Roman tiled roof and later brick stacks. L-plan and 2 storeys. 2 bays:
3-light casement window on ground floor in edge roll moulded surrounds and under
large relieving arch; 2-lights on first floor in ovolo moulded mullions and
surrounds. C20 door to right. Lower, 2 bay wing setback to right; the rear
elevation is of rubble with a stone slate roof; 2-light casement windows in
moulded surrounds. The east gable end has similar windows to the north front,
but 3-lights on first floor and both with relieving arches. Rear gabled wing
with 2-light casements in ovolo moulded surrounds.
