Farmhouse, now 2 houses. 1660. Coursed and squared ironstone with
limestone and brick dressings, plain tile and thatched roofs. Rubble
plinth, off-centre coped stone ridge stack, brick ridge stack, and stone
gable stack rebuilt in brick. 2 storeys, 4 bays, single range. Street
front has a central narrow gabled 2-storey porch with moulded Tudor
arched doorcase and recessed Tudor arched jambs with decorated spandrels
and C17 plank door. Above the door, a lozenge shaped datestone
inscribed'J T B 1660'. Above again, a stepped head 3-light mullioned
casement. To the left of the door, a 4-light and a 2-light casement, mid
C20. To the right, two 3-light transomed steel framed casements.
Beyond, a blocked window and below it, a cellar opening. Above, to the
left, a 3-light casement, and to the right two 3-light casements with
eyebrow dormers. All these openings have wooden lintels. Rear has a
near-central semi-circular thatched projection, flanked by C20 single
storey additions with corrugated sheet roofs. Beyond, to the right,
remains of 2 mullioned casements.
