8/91 Darby House with
garden walls and
gate-piers

GV II

Detached House. Late ClB. Rubble stone walls. Plain tile roof
with stone gable-copings. C20 brick stacks at each gable. 2
storeys. 3 windows, sashes and glazing-bars. Wooden cills. C20
rendered surrounds to windows. Front door at centre, panelled with
2 top lights, and original wooden architrave. Wood canopy with
dentil cornice carried on wooden brackets. 2 short rear wings,
rubble stone with slate roofs, and segmental-headed window openings.
Brick stacks at each rear gable. Garden walls to north and west
of house, early C19. Coursed rubble stone walls with stone copings,
ramped at left and right to full height, where they are rubble-stone
coped. Square stone gate-piers with re-used apex-blocks and reset
ball-terminals.
