- walls adjoining Great Champson
Farmhouse to south east

Garden walls, terrace and retaining walls. Probably late C18 and mid - C19 garden
walls and probably mid - C19 terrace. Coursed stone rubble garden walls and service
retaining wall, cobbled terrace, and garden retaining wall with unmortared rubble in
front of earth bank. Walls adjoining front of Great Champson Farmhouse (q.v.) at
right angles at each end. Left-hand wall with chamfered coping, ramped down to
gateway with dressed-stone square piers. Gateway in probably mid - C19. Right-hand
garden wall also with square piers. C20 wrought-iron gates in each wall. Semi-
circular retaining wall enclosing lawn and stream to front of house, joining up with
ends of side walls. Cobbled terrace in front of house with low retaining wall.
