War Memorial and low wall surmounted by railings. c1921. Granite plinth and
statue on ashlar base, ashlar walls with cast-iron railings. Forms a triangular
plot. Plinth surmounted by statue of soldier in trench coat. Enclosing walls
have chamfered coping surmounted by cast-iron rod railings with flame finials
and typical period panels with trefoil heads. Bears the makers" name of-
"SVTCLIFFE BROS BRADFORD".

Prominently sited at the junction of 2 roads in front of the former council
offices in the centre of the village.
