GV II

Two blocks of cottages, with pump, C17 or earlier. Both
timberframed, refaced mid-late C19 in red brick (Ground floor),
roughcast with ornamental timber frame (lst floor). The S block
(numbers 4-6) is probably C16. Cross wing on left next to large,
C17, square chimneystack. 3 window front of 8/8 sashes.
Weatherboarded S elevation has Ground floor 6/6 sash window and
leaded casements. The N block (7 and Tudor Cottage) with taller
half-hipped roof has plain, 2-, 3- and 4-light casements and
weatherboarded rear extension. Cast iron pump in rear of garden
of No 4, and weatherboarded, single storey rear extension to No 7
with tall, red brick chimney, probably for baker's oven.
