House. C17 with C18 addition to west and C20 addition to east. Red
brick, some timber framing with red brick nogging. Old tile roof,
hipped over timber framed part to left; end stack to left, stack to
rear and 4 gabled dormers with diamond leaded casements. 2 storeys and
attic. South front: 2 first floor diamond leaded cross windows with
C20 casement to right, central 6-panelled door with glazed upper lights
under segmental head flanked by 3-light leaded casement to left and C20
segmental headed casement to right. Timber frame exposed to left with
first floor 2-light casement and ground floor 2-light C20 casement.
Block to left: C18. Red brick with old tile half hipped roof. 2 storeys.
First floor C20 leaded 2-light casement to right, and ground floor 3-
light C20 casement to left. Block to right: C20. Red brick with half
hipped tile roof and 3 gabled semi dormers. 1 1/2 storeys. This is all
that remains of Bucklebury Manor House, burnt down in 1830.
