Walls, steps and urns. C18 and early C19. Limestone rubble with stone
dressings. Wall about 5 metres high and about 45 metres long at garden section,
defines boundary between garden and adjacent churchyard; curved at east end, with
moulded stone coping and ashlar pilasters at intervals; on south face, 2 round-
headed recesses with small keystone, large impost blocks below string course. In
each recess, an early C19 urn on plain pedestal, foliate bowl with female figures
as handles. Wall changes direction to north for about another 45 metres,
buttressed, becoming lower to accommodate the slope of the ground, plain coping
and 4 pennant steps at north west leading to churchyard. (Sources: Verey, D. :
