2. Dated 1769 on rain water head. Front:- Three storeys, stock brick, 1 - 3 - 1 sashes. Central projection under pediment, bands between floors, pediment with oeuil-de-boeuf. Adam type central doorcase with composite Tower of the Winds and Ionic columns and back pilasters. Fluted frieze with six circular recessed paterae, cornice. Round arched surround with mask and fielded panelled reveals. Semi-circular fanlight. Steps up. Bands between storeys. Cornice with coved and fluted modillions, capped parapet. Side to North:- Red brick central projecting feature with Ionic columned Venetian window on 1st floor in double arch of rubbed brick. Painted broken pediment over. Ramped parapet. Side to South:- Red brick, six windows, ramped parapet. Rear:- Red brick, three storeys, 1 - 3 - 1 sash w ndows, the outer ones in slight projections. Band over ground floor windows; sill band to 2nd floor windows. Cornice and parapet, small pediments to projections. Central Ionic columned pedimented doorcase with round arch. Projecting one-storey segmental bowed extension on right; painted cornice and parapet. Interior: South East ground floor room with rich stucco panelling, carved and ornamented chimneypiece with marble slips. North-East room similar but simpler character. Mahogany doors to principal rooms. Entry hall with plaster panelling, intersection with North-South passage with Ionic columns and 4-part vault. Original staircase with turned fluted balusters, carved brackets. Second floor with panelled room and chimneypiece. Illustrated in Stanley C Ramsay's "Smaller houses of the late Georgian Period".
