south of St Mary's Church

Probably C10 or C11. Broken shaft of cross that formerly stood on roadside
at Biscovery, a mile away. Granite. About 8 ft high. Inscribed in very
worn letters Alroron Ulcui filtus, Alroron son of Ulcuus. Hiberno-Saxon
plait-work. Slightly tapered at top and base with band around middle.
