House and railings to front. Circa late C18. Painted brick front in an irregular
English bond. Cement washed scantle slate roof with gable end on left and hipped end
on right.
Plan: Double depth plan with central entrance and 2 principal rooms to front heated
by end stacks. Shallow service rooms to rear. The ground slopes down steeply to the
right and there is a separate entrance to the basement.
Exterior: 2 storeys, basement and attic. Regular 3 window front. Flight of steps
with C19 iron railings, lead up to the central entrance which has a late C18 panelled
door and original doorcase with fluted pilasters flanked by a blind window to the
left and a C19 12-pane sash to the right. Directly below is the basement which has
an C18 or early C19 panelled door below the main entrance with a C20 window to the
right. On the first floor are 3 original hornless 12-pane sashes. 2 full hipped
dormers with C19 2-light casements and C19 fleur-de-lys ridge tiles.
