Outbuilding, converted as a house. C18 or earlier, tall 2 bay timberframed structure converted in C19. Weatherboarded above a brick plinth. Steep old red tile gabled roof with external gable chimneys to the rear of the ridge. Faces N with back to road and half-glazed E gable door of former shop. S side has a 2-light and 3-light Yorkshire sliding casement on each floor. Splayed brackets to flat hood of gable door. There is a deep plastered band below the eaves on the N side and a plank door into the kitchen in W part. 1 window on each floor. Lower timberframed weatherboarded barn adjoining on N, with steep roof covered in corrugated iron and rear wall along road in Cl9 red brick. Prominent when approaching hamlet from S or W. Included for group value.
