GV II

Implement shed. Late C18; for Elizabeth Nelson, as farmhouse
(q.v.); altered. Timber frame with later cladding at rear of
corrugated iron on breize-block plinth. Hipped corrugated iron roof.
4 bays with side-outshut on left under catslide roof. Later double
board doors to left bay. Formerly open on all sides, having earth-
fast jowled wall posts arch-braced to wall plates and tie-beams.
Roof trusses have collared inwardly-raked struts flanked by
outwardly-raked struts; 2 tiers of threaded through purlins; curved
wind braces to 2 central bays. Outshut on left side separated by
original weather-board partition on brick plinth. This shed has an
unusual form of roof truss.
