SELLY WICK ROAD 1. 5104 Selly Park B29 Selly Wick House (Cancer Research Campaign Area Office and Research Centre for the Education of the Visually Handicapped) SP 08 SE 12/52 II 2. C1840 in general appearance, though of possibly late C18 origin. Stucco; slate roof. Two storeys. L-shaped in plan with the principal facade to the garden of 5 bays. Ground floor with a canted bay window, 2 sash windows, a door within a pedimented doorcase, a canted bay window rising through 2 storeys, 2 doors each flanked by thin pilasters and up steps and then another canted bay window rising through 2 storeys. Broad, moulded band at first floor level with dentils to the bay windows. Moulded band at first floor sill level. First floor with plain sash windows. Moulded eaves cornice and blocking course. On the right band return a double panelled door up steps and with panelled reveals and fanlight flanked by columns carrying a reeded frieze and dentilled pediment.
