Pair of attached cottages. Probably late C18 or early C19, shale rubble
with rendered front. Thatched roof with gabled ends. Gable end stacks
with rebuilt shafts.
Plan: Pair of attached cottages. Probably double depth plan each cottage
with one principal room at the front heated from a gable end stack; there
may be shallow unheated service rooms at the back. There are a pair of
entrances at the centre of the front. The pair of cottages may have been
one house originally and converted to a pair of cottages in the late c18 or
early C19.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front. The first floor right
hand window is a C19 2-light casement with glazing bars and a slate sill;
the rest are C20 2-light casements and the centre first floor window is a
C20 single-light casement. Pair of doorways at the centre over which is a
slate canopy on wooden cantilevers; 2 C20 doors.
