Outbuilding to the south of
Clattercotes Farmhouse
GV II
Outbuilding. Probably late C17 with earlier remains and with
C20 alterations. Sandstone rubble with roof of slates with an
eaves course of stone slates. The north wall has evidence of a
blocked opening towards the right on the ground floor, and a
2-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window above on the
1st floor. At the left is a doorway with quoined chamfered
surround and a re-set moulded ogee lintel. Against the
left-hand (east) gable wall there is a single-storey lean-to
extension. Against the right-hand gable wall is a
single-storey C20 garage extension. Above the roof level of
the extension the main gable contains a 5-light rebated and
chamfered mullioned window. The rear wall has a wide C20
timber sliding door, with the remains of a blocked mullioned
window surround to its left.
