Garden house. c1810. Brick with ashlar dressings; tile roof, partly fishscale. Single-storey square structure with basement. Canted south end; north end has concave-sided gable; ashlar platt band below windows. Canted end has hipped roof and pointed windows to angles; right return has pointed entrance up steps, with paired stuccoed plank doors. Rear has basement entrance and upper window with upper leaded glazing in intersecting pattern; gable has window vane.
INTERIOR: octagonal room has plain lining and vaulted ceiling; angle fireplace has four-centred head, panelled buttresses, traceried frieze and cornice. An interesting structure built in what was the garden of Ardmore House (qv), said by the owner to have been built by French prisoners of war.
