The Old Homestead
GV II

Farmhouse. Early C19. Red brick with slate roof. Single-depth
plan. Three storeys with deep wooden eaves cornice with paired
brackets. End stack to left. Regular three window front,
glazing bar sashes with gauged flat-arched heads, those in
centre narrower. Central six-panelled door with transom-light
with lozenge glazing over in panelled reveals. Flat wooden
hood on slim colonnettes and flattish volutes over.
