Fish curing house. c1845-50, extended east late C19. Brick and
flint. Pantiled roof. 2 storeys externally. East (entrance)
side has a late C19 outshut extension added, entered through a
central stable door. Roof of composition tiles. Above the
outshut roof the main wall is pierced by 2 ventilation windows
with central mullions and internal shutters. Gabled roof with
2 flat smoke lights. 4 ridge louvre tiles. The west side is
rendered, also with 2 mullioned and shuttered smoke
ventilation windows under the eaves. Abutting south is a
2-storey late C19 brick extension entered through a stable
door. INTERIOR. 2 smoke rooms, entered through stable doors.
Each have a complete set of racks and are in working order.
