Terraced houses. 1803-9. Developed by Henry or Jacob Leroux. Brick, stucco, roofs of slate. Three and four storeys over basement, three -window range with entrance wings to either side. No 19 has a two-storey entrance wing now partly altered to accommodate a side entrance to Union Chapel; steps up to round-arched entrance with moulded stucco architrave and fanlight now blocked; segmental-arched window over. No 20 has a single-storey entrance wing with steps up to a round-arched entrance with reeded doorcase and panelled door of original design. Ground-floor windows round-arched and recessed under a round-arch with heads of gauged red brick and linked by stucco springing bands; stucco storey band; upper windows flat-arched, those to the first floor of no 19 shortened. Parapet. Round-arched dormers in mansard roof to no 20. Stacks to party walls. Rear elevations have first-floor cast-iron balconies. Area railings with spearhead and urn finials.
