Cottage. C17 core with mid-C19 refacing. Red brick; reed thatch; end
stacks. Single storey and attic, 3-window front; C19 segmental-arch
casements to ground floor and C20 replacements to first; thatched swept
dormer to centre; eaves and ridge line is raised to right-hand bay (a
later addition) and right-hand window is gabletted with cusped barge
boards; gabled single-storey C20 porch to right of centre window with
double boarded doors. Interior: timber framed cross walls to centre
chamber, of large panels and heavy spine beam over. The cottage occupies
a prominent position in the village centre.
