Row of 3 houses. C17, partly refronted C19, datestone 1697 at rear. Coursed ironstone rubble and squared coursed stone. Thatch, slate and artificial stone slate roofs. Brick and stone stacks. 2 storeys and attic. 7 bays. No. 38, to right, has 2-light stone mullioned window in left bay and 3 similar windows on the first floor. Right gable end coped with kneelers. No. 40, has C19 facade, probably the refronting of an earlier house. Entrance in right bay with wood lintel and 4-panel half-glazed door. Small one-light window with wood lintel to left. 2-light casement window on first floor and similar window in attic. No.42 has cart entrance with wood lintel and double plank door in second bay from left. One light window with wood lintel in right bay. 2-light casement window with wood lintel to left. 2- and 3-light windows with stone mullions in right bay and second bay form right on first floor. Outbuildings to left of cart entrance, have 3-light window with wood lintel and old iron casement. Coped gable-end with kneelers. Rear of No. 38 has datestone JW/1697. Central doorway with keystoned lintel and ridged plank door. Two and 3-light stone mullioned windows on the first floor and gabled half dormer with 2-light stone mullioned window. Interior not inspected.
