House, formerly farmhouse. Early C18, altered and extended early C19, with C20
alterations. Coursed limestone rubble to older range to rear, red brick in
Flemish bond with flared headers to front range, slate roofs, brick end and
ridge stacks. Double-depth plan. 2-storey, 4-window range. Part-glazed door to
left of centre in rustic wood porch. 12-pane sash windows to ground and 1st
floors with rendered heads. Entrance bay breaks forward slightly and has
pedimental gable. Deep overhanging eaves. Casement windows with wood lintels to
stone range to rear. Interior. Kitchen in older range has chamfered cross beam
ceiling, inglenook, and fine fitted corner cupboard with coved scalloped head,
mask to base of scallop, and shaped shelves, flanked by Tuscan pilaster
supporting full entablature. Open well staircase with ramped handrail.
