Pair of houses. Late C18 with alteration. Brick front, now painted, on
stone plinth; coursed rubble stone to rear and side. Pantile roof, and
brick stacks, one rebuilt. 2-storey, 4-window front. Raised quoins.
Entrance to No 18 to right, is panelled door under rectangular fanlight in
pilastered doorcase. Entrance to No 20 is 6-pane door under rectangular
fanlight under keyed gauged brick arch. Canted bay with cornice and 4-pane
sashes to left of No 18 entrance. Remaining windows are 4-pane sashes with
stone sills and keyed gauged brick arches. Raised first floor band.
Cavetto-moulded eaves course. Coped gables and shaped kneelers to steeply
pitched roof. Interior: No 18 has C18 open-string staircase.
