Farmhouse, formerly 2 dwellings. 3 builds. Late C18 or early C19 main house with
pent left extension and slightly later rear wing with back wall rebuilt in mid-late
C13. Finely-coursed regular herringbone-tooled sandstone of a handsome pink colour
on road front; rear wall of wing rock-faced. Pantiled roof with tiled ridge, stone
copings and kneelers, brick chimneys. T-plan. Main house 2 storeys, 2 windows to
road. 16-pane sashes in chamfered reveals with projecting cills. Ridged gable
copings on block kneelers at right, moulded kneeler at left; left end chimney.
Right return shows top-glazed 6-panel door, C20 stair window with top opening
section, and blocked stone cross window in attic, all in chamfered reveals. Rear
wing has 3-light small-paned C20 casements with projecting cills; chimneys at end
and junction. Left return of lean-to shows boarded door and fixed-light cross
window. Late C19 sashes in rear of wing, and central glazed door.
