GV II

House. C17, altered and added to. Partly of 1½ storeys; partly of 2
storeys. Timber framed on stuccoed sill. The exterior is mostly
roughcast. Steep old red tile roofs faces S. 5 bays wide with door,
window, door and 2 windows and a hipped dormer window in the roof
between bays 3 and 4. Arts and Crafts plank doors with leaded lights
beneath moulded hoods with braces; matching windows 3-light flush
casements. On the left return a ground floor C20 bay window and a
casement in the gable where there is exposed timber framing. On the
right return a large chimney against the wall and, set back a further 2
bays with half timbering at 1st floor level. Inside, much exposed timber
framing including a wall with all the infilling removed that provides an
open screen between hall and sitting room.
