Former police station. Built in 1856-7 to the designs of C E Davis, in the Gothic style. Local rubble with Bath stone features. Tiled roofs. Ashlar chimneys upper parts with chamfered corners lower parts with gablets above base. 2 storeys, 3-1-2-1 bays. Central large projecting gable with pointed and traceried 1st floor window and 3 bay stilted arcade on ground floor. Flanking gables above 1st floor ½ dormers with pointed and traceried windows. Moulded band above ground floor sub-divided and traceried windows. Hipped gabled cross-wing to right with square bay on ground floor (No 1).
