Circa 1683. 2 storeys and attic. Double gable front. Rubble with pantile roof.
2 windows, casements on 1st floor, paired sashes on ground floor. Central door.
Gabled stair turret to rear with gable light end 2 light oak mullion window beneath.
Moulded door surround to back door.
Interior: original oak/elm stairs above 1st floor landing with burred steps and
incised moulding on risers. Paired doorways on 1st floor landing with stopped
ovolo mouldings, 1St floor room with strapwork panel in lobby.
On ground floor, right-hand room has decorative stop chamfer to beam and a large
lintel to deep fireplace. Fireplace has herringbone brick fireback with 3
triangular stones above with ball capping and inscription "16.E'(blank).83."
A very good example of this house type.
